External Description:

Informatica is looking for an energetic IT Hosting Automation & Governance Manager to manage the delivery pipeline for our IT automation solutions as well as taking the lead to govern our hosting environment consisting of both public (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private clouds. The successful candidate will lead a team of business focused solution engineers who deliver high value solutions that directly support business agility and innovation. The position reports functionally to the Sr. Director of IT Hosting and is based in our Bangalore, India offices. Responsibilities also include the following:

• Hiring, managing, coaching and developing a team of highly motivated engineers
• Ensuring your team’s objectives are measurable, SMART and delivered/updated on time
• Ensuring your team’s career development plans and job descriptions are kept current
• Owning and driving multiple simultaneous automation and governance projects and initiatives through close coordination with business and other IT teams
• Working to apply automation innovations to optimize cloud usage costs
• Managing the automation development lifecycle end-to-end
• Developing, building, configuring, deploying and supporting solutions in an environment using SCM, CI/CD, artifact management, automated testing and monitoring tools
• Ensuring new solutions and cookbooks meet requirements and conform to best practices
• Ensuring the team leverages the right tools to address gaps and build key capabilities
• Applying DevOps/SRE best practices to enable highly available & reliable environments
• Managing and maintaining development and scripting standards within IT Hosting
• Investigating new and emerging technologies and figuring out how best to apply these innovations that demonstrably add business value
• Working closely with key vendors to ensure services are reliable and of high quality
• Ensure through governance practices that Informatica receives the best value for money when using cloud services
• Establishing and governing a cloud governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of business-relevant capabilities
• Rolling out an IT cloud governance framework, with a focus on protecting Informatica’s information assets through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and architecture
• Defining roles and responsibilities related to cloud governance and ensuring clear accountability for managing the company’s information assets in the cloud
• Preparing and communicating to leadership cloud cost management and analysis reports
• Ensuring that standard operating procedures, work instructions and troubleshooting scripts are documented and kept current
• Collaborating with business and other IT teams to ensure the timely delivery of consistent and predictable services to IT’s internal customers
• Ensuring the consistent delivery of quality solutions while meeting operational deadlines
• Performing technology related project management activities and delivering business solutions on time and on budget as per expected quality levels
• Continuously reviewing and improving the technology offerings delivered to the business
• Ensuring that any changes made by your team are fully tested and approved
• Ensuring your team follows through on all assigned incident, change and problem tickets
• Demonstrating accountability and sees him or herself as responsible for IT meeting customer expectations
