Position Title: Information Security Analyst

External Description:

The Security Incident Response (IR) Analyst is responsible for responding to and managing Security Incidents to a successful resolution. This role will be primarily a threat intelligence and threat hunting focused role, with the successful candidate also responding to high priority incidents or investigating escalations from the Security Operations Center. They will ensure threats and incidents are properly communicated, tracked and documented and that the appropriate stakeholders are notified and escalated to during an incident. They will mentor and lead Security Operation Center staff and will be involved in the technical analysis of incidents globally. 

• Evaluate, respond to and manage Information Security Incidents.
• Establish a threat hunting capability (“Purple Team”) across the company, allowing Informatica to proactively hunt for and look for security issues.
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds and sources to ensure an adequate grasp of threats that face the company, build threat intelligence sharing capabilities both internally and externally.
• Ensure incidents are brought to a rapid and successful resolution.
• Own Incident communication and notification for assigned incidents.
• Document and action lessons learned from Security Incidents.
• Proactively identify potentially malicious behavior and/or vulnerabilities using relevant threat intel and best practices.
• Serve as escalation point and mentor for the Security Operation Center.
• Partner with product security team on threat modelling.
• Identify and drive improvements in detection and response.
• Utilize threat intel to ‘hunt’ proactively for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute and collaborate with other
• Information Security team members across the broad spectrum of information security programs, such as Threat & Vulnerability Management, Information Protection, Governance and Compliance.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities necessary to support and protect the business

Education/Experience

• BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.  
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
