We’re currently looking for a Software Engineer with interest in full-stack development in web-applications to join our team in Bangalore India.

Job Summary

As a Software Engineer in the Informatica Cloud team, you will work with a world class engineering team to design and build the next generation microservices based cloud platform using the latest cutting-edge cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Azure and Docker, to provide non-disruptive Cloud Data Integration services to our customers

In the role of Software Engineer, you must be able to work in and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as a Software Engineer, you must have strong communication, collaboration and technical skills

Technology You’ll Use:

• J2EE Spring Framework, Persistence Framework, Java SDK, web service protocol stack, REST, XML, JSON
• MVC and coding patterns, object-oriented programming skills; good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Web client technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX, JQuery, React
• Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Cloud infrastructure monitoring tools, such as cloud log services (Sumologic, Splunk), cloud application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, NewRelic)
• Unit testing techniques for Web UI, Ant, JUnit, Eclipse, JMeter

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for

• Investigating, designing, and developing features within a small team, and composing feature design documents with the help of the team
• Participating in feature development and following through with other team members to ensure high quality and predictable delivery
• Providing detailed estimates of the feature you are working on and their schedules
• Writing unit tests for the developed features
• Working with the QA team to ensure minimal regressions and comprehensive customer-centric testing
• Giving iteration demos to show progress against requirements
• Reviewing QA test specifications and feature documents with help from other team members
• Participating in internal/cross team meetings, scoping, decision making and technical documentation
• Assisting customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues and problems

Key Essentials

• 1 years of Java/J2EE enterprise software development experience, preferably with data-intensive and multi-threaded service-oriented cloud products with high performance and scalability requirements
• Exposure to concepts of Data Integration/Enterprise Application Integration product development
• Knowledge of and/or experience in web client technologies, including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, Angular, React JS, Bootstap, JQuery, Javascript, Strut
• Excellent coding and object-oriented design skills in Java, Javascript and C++
• Able to work independently with most of the time with little direct supervision and interest in taking initiative
• Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, iterative product definition and development environment
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

What We’d Like to See

• Exposure to and/or experience with cloud application development, deployment, operation, and support preferred
• Knowledge of J2EE Spring Framework, Persistence Framework, OSGi, Java SDK, web service protocol stack, REST, XML, JSON, XPath preferred
• Solid knowledge of relational database system fundamentals desired
• Knowledge of latest Container technology, such as Docker, preferred.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies and release management techniques
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred
