Position Summary

This position reports to the SVP, Global Demand Generation. 

Today, our Global Market Development team is comprised of ~25 people and the teams are located in Austin, TX and other hubs around the world.  As the leader of this team, you will continue to evolve our world-class MDR organization, aligned with Marketing and Sales, to ensure that no lead is left behind and that we drive quality pipeline in our target accounts.

Responsibilities Include

  • Lead all teams meet and exceed quarterly pipeline quotas and opportunity targets
  • Inspire the team to create repeatable, predictable, pipeline from select accounts
  • Make sure that pipeline generated is high quality and meets average close rates by Sales
  • Reinforce and drive the Market Development objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Operations
  • Track market, industry, and economic factors that drive adoption trends in target customers
  • Represent the Market Development organization in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Deploy new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure proper alignment of resources and effective utilization of skill sets within each geo
  • Recruit and develop top talent, according to business requirement

Experience Required

  • 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years of progressive people management
  • Experience leading successful market development organizations in B2B and SaaS markets
  • A proven track record of consistently overachieving quotas for pipeline generation
  • Understanding of the process to engage and convert customers on trials or freemiums
  • Demonstrated success with the following technology solutions: Marketing Automation (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce), Sales Engagement (SalesLoft), and Data Enrichment
  • Proficiency in Account Based Marketing (ABM) methodologies
  • A history of recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
  • An undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • Great communication skills
  • Previous success as a successful individual contributor in inside sales or field sales is an advantage
