Position Title: Senior Software Engineer (Ops Team)

Job Summary  

Senior Ops Engineer in Cloud Trust Team to support cloud operations service management/ project management.

             

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for cloud operations , service management and change management for  CloudTrust.  In the role of Senior Ops Engineer, you must be able to work and adapt in a cloud operations environment supporting products and services.. Working as the Senior Ops Engineer you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and project management skills 

 

Technology You’ll Use: 

 Cloud operations , Servicenow/ Jira Service Desk, AWS/Azure/GCP, Terraform, Linux operations.

 

What You’ll Do  

Good ITIL skills and understanding of change management and service management.

Build and Operate large scale web applications  deployed in multiple Cloud Providers 

Good understanding cloud service providers and services VPC, ALB/ELB,EC2 etc

Implement monitoring and instrumentation for the cloud services.

Provide 24/7 on call support for management services

Perform incident/alert troubleshooting, problem analysis and provide high quality solutions to technical issues 

On-call support in cases of issues on production environment  

Work with geographically dispersed team 

 

Key Essentials  

Have experience in web application deployments specifically AWS or Azure, 

Have experience in either of Cloud Providers AWS, Azure, GCP 

Experience writing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation 

Comfortable with supporting and operating high availability Cloud services and provide on-call support for Sev1 incidents on production and critical development/QA cloud environments. 

Understanding of Linux systems and operations

You are self-motivated with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 

 

 

What Does Success Look Like? 

Enable Product teams with self-service capabilities and ensure zero downtime, adhering to defined SLAs for higher uptime of the system. 

 

Nice to Have  

5+ years of Systems Engineering or administration 

3+ years of experience in managing Cloud operation environments at scale in Production 

2+ years of experience working in change management process.

Experience with Production level monitoring and alerting with tools like solar winds,zabbix,Prometeus/grafana

Experience with cloud automated deployment tools such as terraform, puppet or sensible.

Prior experience in defining, configuring, and implementing disaster recovery process
