Position Title: DevOps Engineer

External Description:

As a  permanent Cloud Operations Analyst, You will be working with DevOps assisting R&D  teams to build, automate and scale cloud infrastructure technologies. You will act as “go to” person for R&D and Devops teams for support on multi-cloud platforms. You will monitor the cloud resource usage, costing and advice users on resizing resources. Automate the delivery, maintenance, monitoring the services and also coordinating/collaborating with R&D and IT to implement the processes. In this role, you must be able to work in and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment and have strong communication, collaboration, and technical skills.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the architecture of next generation of automated infrastructure following Infrastructure as a Code model.
  • Create processes designed to measure system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Seek ways to enhance systems operations, with a focus on automation and minimizing cost.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies in the field and provide recommendations to organizational management on new solutions.
  • Oversee the selection of orchestration tooling, as well as compliance audits and reporting.
  • Responsible for identifying, correcting, and enhancing important software tools.
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to critical service operations and to prevent their recurrence using different methods of automation
  • Help improve reliability, stability and tackle scalability challenges with engineering teams
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to critical service operations and to prevent their recurrence using different methods of automation
  • Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture, and help build a fast-growing team

Your Qualifications

  • MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 2 years of relevant experience with managing IT infrastructure and 3 years of Devops/CloudOps experience is must.
  • Experience with any one public cloud computing technologies from vendors such as AWS, Azure, GCP is must.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the Linux or Unix family of OS and their underlying components Networking basics.
  • Expertise in a high-level language anyone like Python, Perl or PowerShell.
  • Experience in managing cloud costs, rightsizing recommendations and exposure to tools like Cloudability.
  • Familiar with “Infrastructure as Code” and ability to manage resources using python and json
  • Configuration management tool experience such as Ansible, Chef, Spinnaker, Kubernetes.
  • Possess analytical skills, mental resiliency and the ability to think systematically under stressful conditions
  • Highly accountable and takes ownership. Outstanding work ethic, high-integrity, team player, and a lifelong learner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization.
  • Very comfortable working in an agile DevOps oriented capacity, alongside Development partners
