Position Title: Senior Consultant

External Description:

Informatica is currently looking for a Senior Consultant, Professional Services with experience in Cloud ecosystem and Data Integration and/or Data Governance to join our team in Germany. 

Job Summary 

As a Senior Consultant, your responsibility is to ensure the client’s success in implementing, adopting and succeeding with the Informatica suite of products; from envisioning the strategy and the correct technical implementation.    

Working as the Senior Consultant you must have strong technical, communication, presentation and collaboration skills. You are a technically focused and business-aware data consultant and engineer. You are willing to travel, evangelize, consult, train and troubleshoot to enhance our clients’ experience on our Emerging Technology solutions working either independently or within a team of fellow experts. You will be a critical point of contact for our clients that is highly visible and drives impact. You will successfully employ a combination of technical expertise and client management skills to influence, consult and deliver strategy and implementations.

In the role of Senior Consultant, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

• Great clients include: Allianz, Munich RE, HelloFresh, Toyota

What You’ll Do 

• You will advise and guide customers, helping them through their journey alone or with a team.
• You will promote best practices while managing project deliverables, timelines and customer expectations.
• Your ultimate mission is to deliver a first-rate client experience and positive brand awareness for Informatica. Working in direct contact with the customer
• Supporting our Sales team with business development activities along implementation of Informatica suite of products 

Key Essentials 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience using and administering Linux/Unix
• Hands-on experience with two or more of the following:
  • Governance and metadata management tools
  • Background in Cloud data integration technologies and databases such as ETL, light database maintenance, Oracle and SQL
  • Capable in programming and scripting languages such as (JAVA, Python, Ansible, SQL)
  • Familiarity with common security technologies including Kerberos, Active Directory, Sentry, Ranger and other protocols
• Experience with Infrastructure platforms and deployment both on-premise and within the Cloud (MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) a plus
• Development/deployment experience of enterprise software including strategy development, install and config, sizing and performance and mapping development
• Established consulting background, or strong desire to move into a consulting role. Proficient soft skills with an ability to present, manage meetings, and communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within an organisation
• Fluent in both German and English
• Willingness to travel up to 60 percent of the time (outside of COVID) predominately within home region but across Europe where necessary

Nice to Have 

• Experience with Informatica technologies like EDC, Axon, IICS, CAI, …. is a strong plus
• Experience with MongoDB and CDWs such as Snowflake and Redshift is a plus
