Description

Informatica is currently looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with experience in AWS and Azure ecosystems to join our team in Toronto, Canada. 

Job Summary 

As a Lead DevOps Engineeryou will be responsible to Collaborate with R&D teams to design the cloud application deployment architecture and develop the orchestration strategy and automation framework for the product delivery process in Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.  In the role of Lead DevOps Engineer, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as the Lead DevOps Engineer you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills 

Technology You’ll Use:

  • Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Python, Shell, Oracle and SQL Server databases, JBOSS application server, RedHat and CentOS Linux, AWS and Azure ecosystems, ELK, Panopta, Informatica MDM, IDQ and IICS 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to design the cloud application deployment architecture, and developing the orchestration strategy and automation framework for the product delivery process
  • Design and develop the Informatica MDM Cloud application and infrastructure using orchestration, automation, logging, alerting, monitoring and metrics tools on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Perform incident troubleshooting, problem analysis and provide high quality solutions to technical issues
  • Liaison with the Informatica Security Council to manage and define application security compliance standards
  • Define and implement the Disaster Recovery process.

Key Essentials

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 5 + or more years of overall service delivery experience, of which at least 3 years are in delivering critical business services in cloud.
  • Proficiency with the Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure ecosystems
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud automation deployment process using orchestration management, such as Terraform, Ansible (preferred), Chef is required
  • Strong Scripting language knowledge such as Python, Shell, or Perl, is required. 

What Does Success Look Like? 

  • Design and implement cloud application delivery items assigned within SLA
  • Provide support on critical issues, including liaison with operations team
  • Improve design, introduce new systems and deliver new technology to modernize the existing cloud solution
  • Ability to work under considerable pressure managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open source tools and development languages. 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Networking technology, internet service architecture
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases, JBOSS application server
  • Knowledge or experience with Informatica products such as MDM, IDQ, IICS
