Informatica is currently looking for a Senior Software Development Manager with experience in large-scale system engineering and building solutions to complex problems to join our team in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Software Development Manager of the Informatica Cloud team, you will have the opportunity to build the team and its products. You will work with world-class engineers to design and build the next generation of microservices-based cloud platforms, using the latest cutting-edge cloud technology to provide non-disruptive cloud data integration services to our customers.

You will be able to build the team and coach them to be productive.

• Enjoys spending time understanding the market and technology trends, understanding unsolved problems, and defining innovative solutions.
• Is effective in articulating the value proposition/story at varying depth, based on the audience types.
• Is a leader who makes things happen and works collaboratively while providing leadership to various cross-functional teams within and outside the TLV organization. 

What You’ll Do

• Manage and lead an Agile software development team of SW and QA engineers
• Anticipate roadblocks, provide escalation to management, make timely, thoughtful decisions, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
• Build/mentor and coach the team to achieve the product goals
• Deliver good quality features/products on time
• Investigate, design, and develop the features with your team, and compose the feature design documents
• Lead feature development and follow through with other team members to ensure high quality and predictable delivery
• Provide detailed estimates of projects and meet project schedules
• Give demos to PMs other stake holders to show progress against requirements
• Participate in internal/cross team meetings, scoping, decision making, and technical documentation
• Mentor junior engineers on technical, architectural, design, and related issues
• Proactively identify architectural weaknesses and recommend appropriate solutions
• Take architectural ownership of functional areas in the product
• Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues and problems

Key Essentials

• BE in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• 12+ years of enterprise software development experience, preferably with data-intensive and multi-threaded service-oriented cloud products, with high performance and scalability requirements
• Experience in managing small to medium teams
• Able to work independently with little direct supervision and take initiative, willing to mentor and develop others
• Experience in Agile development methodologies and release management techniques
• Proven ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, iterative product definition and development environment
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent coding and object-oriented design skills in Java and C++ (minimal)
• Experience with cloud application development, deployment, operation, and support
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning (advantage)
• Strong knowledge of Data Integration/Data Replication and/or Enterprise Application Integration product (advantage)
• Solid knowledge of relational database system fundamentals (advantage)
