Position Title: Senior QA Engineer

Our Team

Our team is the innovation hub within Informatica that is responsible for delivering an extensible, reliable, and scalable platform that provides a solid foundation for all other Informatica products. Specifically, our team focuses on building and testing a high-performance and scalable Data Engine that can scale on a Cloud platform, multi-processor environments as well on a cluster of nodes.
The team helps with Proof Of Concepts, verify Emergency Bug Fixes, and helps with one-off certifications.

Your Opportunity

You will participate in building and packaging Informatica software on a cloud platform as well as in testing our enterprise software. You must test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test frameworks and programs to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools that increase productivity and efficiency.

We are looking at hiring senior software QA engineers who can test new features, build frameworks, and debug issues across multiple cloud platforms.

Your Responsibilities

• Work with our engineering team to understand the implementation and certify the cloud-based applications and solutions for the company.
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
• Deploying and debugging cloud-based solutions
• Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues quickly
• You will be responsible for certifying Informatica features across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• You will be responsible for designing and automating functional, i18N, concurrency, stress/longevity test plans, test cases based upon requirements, and Customer/Field use cases
• Participate actively in functional, system, and regression testing activities.
• Participate in staging and production deployments to validate the cloud features.
• Working with internal teams and external customers to better understand use cases and design an effective test strategy
• Innovating new ideas for automation and tools for overall QA productivity
• Collaborates effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex problems

• Working with cross geographical R&D engineering and QA teams
• Mentoring junior engineers

Your qualification

• 4 or more years of relevant professional experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position
• Certification on AWS, Azure, or GCP solutions
• Experience working on AWS, Azure, or GCP services
• Experience working with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
• Knowledge of connectors like Kafka, Hive, S3, ADLS Gen2, Snowflake.
• Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks.
• Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores
• Knowledge of database internals such as query parsing, processing, and optimizations, developing core scalable parts of a system, or server-side multi-threaded development experience is essential
• Demonstrated ability to write quality code in Java and Python
• Proven ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, iterative product definition and development environment
• Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas in a bigger forum
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills within an organization
• Able to work independently with little direct supervision and take initiative; willing to mentor and develop others
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
• BS/MS/MCA in Computer Science
