Senior Applications Engineer, Global Customer Support

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Data Integration solutions using Informatica suite of products like Big Data Management, Powercenter, Power Exchange, Data Quality, Informatica Cloud.
  • Demonstrate strong functional and technical knowledge on Informatica products including architecture, design and implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of big data technology, Nosql, concepts, tools, features, functions and benefits of different approaches to apply them.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes for functions such as Customer Support, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to be able to better support the Business needs.
  • Collaborate with Business, Data Scientists and Application teams to design and build robust large scale data applications.
  • Develop various data visualizations, Reports and Dashboards to provide insights for the Management team.
  • Translate the functional requirements to high level design and build technical specifications document. 

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline
  • 2-3 years of experience in Informatica Products like Big Data Management, Powercenter, Power Exchange, Data Quality, Informatica Cloud.
  • 2-3 years of experience in large scale data processing in Hadoop Environment (Data Lake, Cloudera CDH 5.x, Hive, HBase, Impala, Spark SQL, Spark, Kafka, Oracle).
  • 2-3 years of experience in developing interactive data visualizations using Tableau, D3, Microstrategy and other visualization tools.
  • Solid understanding in Data Modelling, DataWarehousing and reporting solutions.
  • Good programming skills on Python and R for advanced analytics.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases like Oracle, Sqlserver, MySQL.
  • Good working knowledge on NoSql Databases like Elasticsearch, Mongo DB, Cassandra.
  • Able to work effectively independently, and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
