Your Opportunity

As a member of Informatica's Cloud Security Operations and Response Team, you are the first line of defense for all the people and parts that together make up Informatica's Cloud Business. You will work with world-class engineers to deliver the next generation cloud platform and products, using the latest cutting-edge cloud technology, such as Amazon AWS, Saleforce.com, Microsoft Azure, to provide transformational and reliable cloud services to our customers. You have experience working at a global scale but are agile enough to deliver results iteratively and create ongoing impact quickly.

Our Ideal Candidate

 You are an innovative security engineer, who has a keen eye for automation and process improvements. An engineer with a passion for internal and external customer success, continuous improvement, and operational excellence at a global scale. You have a track record of implementing and automating security tools. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, cross-functional interdependencies, performing on time and accurately. You have an uncanny ability to simplify complex situations and dependencies to find novel strategic business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead effective security strategy, processes, and metrics, both as a team and working in partnership with other teams
  • Manage the infrastructure, tools, and rules that keep the Security Operations and Response team running
  • Work with our infrastructure engineering team to harden Linux systems and production networks in the cloud
  • Whip up automation ideas to improve security posture and own development of that idea from start to finish
  • Ensure that Security documentation is up to date and teams can understand and implement security
  • Build solutions to detect and mitigate new malicious threats
  • Investigate alerts from detective telemetry and tune rules to increase fidelity
  • Perform retrospective analysis using artifacts from both network and host
  • Validate and triage vulnerabilities found within our system, help teams with resolution
  • Own Encryption and Key Management systems that protect our customer data

Skills

  • 4+ years of Security experience
  • Operational experience running servers in AWS or similar cloud environment
  • Experience managing security tools and server configuration
  • Experience tuning, improving, and devising new ways to collect signals and identify suspicious events in an operational production environment
  • Experience working in an operational capacity, with expertise in at least one server, network, cloud, database
  • Experience with log or data analysis, extracting salient data points to improve detective capabilities
  • Broad exposure to various security disciplines and deeper understanding of models and principles behind core security concepts such as MFA and token-based authentication
  • Intermediate knowledge of Python or similar
  • Solid understanding of web security fundamentals
  • Ability to test and remediate the vulnerabilities described in the OWASP Top 10
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, specifically around networking and security

Nice to have:

  • Implementation and management of PKI, KMS
  • Experience working on security RFPs
  • Participation in the local and global security community
