Informatica is currently looking for a Principal or Senior Principal Product Manager for iPaaS and Application Modernization Team in Bangalore.

 Job Summary

 As a Principal Product Manager, you will join a team that owns the build, delivery, and success of Informatica’s iPaaS and Application Modernization solutions.  You will work closely with engineering to define and deliver world-class solutions, interact with customers, partners, and sales to understand needs and preferences as well as collaborate with other talented peers to help evangelize and implement your solutions.

What You’ll Do

As an integral member of the product team, you are charged with product line success. Based in Bangalore, India, you will:

  • Drive and own product strategy, product roadmap, and product execution of one or multiple cloud services products
  • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
  • Prioritize product direction for the multitenant cloud platform that can scale and host various types of data-related services that can be used in harmony to address cloud and hybrid customer use cases for integration and management.  
  • Work with customers, field organizations, and other PMs to capture product requirements and feedback
  • Create use cases, requirements, and user stories for product development.
  • Collaborate with user designers and engineering to deliver world-class products for business users with modern data visualization
  • Evangelize product roadmap with customers, analysts, and field organizations
  • Nurturing customers and securing them as references
  • Cater to external customer needs and internal teams to define the growth and direction of the cloud platform.
  • Manage the entire product/solution life cycle from strategic planning to development to release and go to market of product
  • Provide thought leadership and evangelism of the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services internally and externally to partners  

 Key Essentials

  • 10+ years in Product Management, Product Engineering, or Solution Consulting roles with at least 5 years of Product Management experience.
  • Strong background in APIs, API Security, Messaging, Pub/Sub architecture is required
  • Experience with middleware (application development and integration) products and technologies is a must
  • Prior experience with Data Integration, ESB, BPM, Web and Application Servers, User Interface is desirable
  • Prior experience in cloud-based infrastructure software, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Good understanding of existing cloud IaaS platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor and bring out the best in subordinates creating a high-performing team.
  • Ability to contribute to defining a strategic vision and to articulate it in front of a variety of audiences including customers and partners and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills; solid business acumen; well-honed influencing skills are essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships, and establishing credibility with customers, prospects, analysts, sales, R&D, and the management team are a must
  • Proven organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently required
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Master’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or a related technical discipline; MBA preferred.

  • The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership — most notably between engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams.
  • The ideal candidate is a natural leader who strives for excellence and is known as a trusted advisor for defining the why, when, and what of the product that the engineering team builds and enhances.
  • You will be responsible for setting a product vision and strategy. Your job is to clearly articulate the business value to the cross-functional team so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release.
  • You will own the roadmap and must prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
