Position Title: Solutions Architect

External Description:

Informatica is currently looking for a Solutions Architect with experience in Data Management to join our team in the Netherlands and work on strategic accounts in the PreSales Team.

Job Summary 

You will be responsible for defining and owning the technical strategy and co-ordination and execution of this strategy with pre-sales and other activities for Informatica’s most strategic accounts.  You must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment and provide strong thought leadership, technical acumen, communication, collaboration and leadership skills. 

Key Clients/Customers: (For Sales)

The strategic sales team work in tandem with the solutions architects in PreSales to provide a holistic account strategy for Informatica’s most strategic accounts consisting of Public sector accounts and large blue chip customers across multiple industry sectors.  

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll work in tandem with sales managers and extended teams to define and execute account plans and sales strategies for pursuing specific opportunities and strategic account management for your nominated Tier 1 accounts.
  • You will seek to build contacts and become trusted advisor to technical influencers, stakeholders and key decision makers for nominated accounts.
  • The tasks you will perform include qualifying specific opportunities; determining and discovering needs and validating and articulating the business value and benefits of the Informatica’s proposed solution to the customer.
  • You’ll be assisting customers in developing the business case for acquiring Informatica’s products and also to identify and understand the business issues that Informatica’s Data Management Cloud can impact.
  • In addition, you’ll be expected to take ownership for technical closure – engaging both internal and external resources, including other presales leads, partners and specialists where required – to explain the architecture, features, technical/business benefits to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions, workshops, innovation days and other proof points in order to reinforce the value proposition and achieve technical win across opportunities in your nominated accounts.

 Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide product management, product marketing and other corporate teams with input and feedback on product direction, individual features and market positioning for Informatica’s Data Management Cloud products.
  • Compose and publish external facing white papers, case studies, blog posts and articles.
  • Secure and execute speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events and user groups. 

Key Essentials

  • At least ten years of implementation and/or pre-sales experience – as solution architect or in former technical account manager role.
  • Knowledge of Data Integration, Data Governance, Master Data Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to co-ordinate a network of resources.

 What Does Success Look Like?

  • You will draw on your domain expertise and practical experience to become a trusted advisor to the prospect’s technical and business teams and help secure both net new software sales and ensure existing subscriptions are renewed for key strategic customers.

 Nice to Have

  • Experience of working with Global System’s Integrators and Cloud ecosystem vendors (AWS, Azure, Google, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Accreditation with Cloud infrastructure.
