Senior Software Engineer - QE
Our Team
The QE team is responsible for ensuring functionally high quality including performance and scalability of CDGC products. Engineers in the team are responsible for initiating and developing test case documents participating in reviewes, running and reporting issues and automating the cases.
Your Opportunity
You will participate in the testing effort of enterprise software. He/she will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and automate them using the available framework.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking at hiring a Senior Software Engineer QE for the DQ team at Informatica who shall be responsible for conducting the functional tests. He/she will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools to increase productivity and efficiency.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
- Participate actively in functional, system, and regression testing activities
- Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites starting from CI to CD and all the way to integration and nonfunctional testing.
- Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
- Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, and documentation reviews.
- Communicate effectively with developers and QE peers and other stakeholders in the QE
- Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings
- Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems). Deliverable reviews have few actions.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. Able to communicate or present to the whole product team and occasionally across products. Interacts with and influences other groups on the same product and cross-product groups.
Your qualification
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science
- 3 to 5 years of software testing experience
- Testing experience of any enterprise Software
- Profiling , Data quality,Powercenter Domain knowledge is highly appreciated
- Strong working knowledge in Unix/Windows environments.
- Good java programming skills
- Good knowledge in writing sql scripts for RDBMS.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Must have a strong knowledge of QE processes and methodologies
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Unix OS
- Clear understanding of Database concepts.
- Exposure to JAVA is mandatory.
- Able to write perl/shell scripts.
- Knowledge of informatica or any Data management / ETL product
- Awareness of any automation tool is a plus
- Work experience in Automation tools such as selenium,Karate, eclipse based plugins, etc..
- Experience in Jenkins and code coverage
- Experience in QE of products on cloud is a plus
- Experience in Big data is a plus
