Position Title: Director, Sales Operations

Director, Reporting and Analytics

The Director, Reporting and Analytics will lead and manage core functions including global sales reporting & analytics as well as partner with the Operations team to optimize our suite of Sales tools. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations, this is a critical role that will support the day-to-day analytical needs of the worldwide Sales and GTM teams as well as the underlying data accuracy and Sales data model.  Overall goal is to improve sales productivity through leveraging our tools and creating key insights for best-in-class decision support. The successful candidate will have relentless curiosity and possess a passion for creating innovative analysis to identify opportunities. Moreover, this person will excel at extracting and transforming insights from data and converting ideas to action.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Create and scale enterprise class, data-driven reporting that will deliver business insights and provide visibility for real time decision-making and bookings growth
  • Partner closely with IT team and other teams as the Revenue Operations SME/Business Data Steward to ensure the appropriate semantic data models are available to enable insightful PowerBI visuals and efficient self-serve ad hoc analysis
  • Standardize, define and own critical business KPIs and data integrity from a systems and reporting point of view
  • Be a thought leader that will ensure timely delivery of the critical business KPIs and accurate flow of insightful business reporting to multiple stakeholders globally
  • Business owner of our MDM/EDW process to ensure data is accurate and able to easily report on key aspects of the business
  • Transform vague concepts and tasks into well-documented business metrics and insights
  • Manage special projects related to key business initiatives with a goal of long-term value
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems/ processes to fix root causes

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS  

  • Experience with advanced Excel BI functionality and languages (Power Query (M), PowerPivot (DAX preferred)
  • Expert in data analytics to achieve data-driven conclusions and presenting findings to executives
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of sales and channel operations in a SaaS business model aligned to booking and renewal growth goals
  • Expert understanding of Salesforce and related business reporting tools and processes to help with the ongoing design of our data architecture
  • Sales-minded in terms of GTM needs, deal-orientation, and on-going customer success
  • Demonstrate the ability to be an influential leader and to interact with senior level management
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively with groups across the organization to hit objectives and influence policymaking

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background, MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Finance role, in a SaaS business model preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce specifically around report type creation
  • Understanding of Star Schema models and how objects are joined to optimize reporting
  • Hands on experience with PowerBI a must, power pivot in excel and DAX
  • Valuable work experience using Excel with focus on quantitative analysis, and logical reasoning
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills: ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions
  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • Possess strong executive presentation and communication skills
