Senior Software Engineer - Dublin

Our Team

We’re always on the lookout for people with the same qualities as Informatica itself. As recognized leaders in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools, we have no room for followers. We gained our market-leading position through hard work, strong focus, incredible dedication, and exceptional performance – the very virtues we are looking for in new Informatica people.

We need people who carve their own niche, quickly understand priorities and know what needs to be done to get things moving. We expect our people to adapt to an informal atmosphere and appreciate the tremendous advantage of being surrounded by dedicated experts.

In return, we offer the unique opportunity to join one of the most visionary, exciting, and fastest-growing software companies in the world, working with advanced technology and great products that are truly changing and improving the way our customers do business.

Your Role

The successful candidate will participate in the development effort of our cloud and on-premise based software within the Data Quality and Governance business unit of Informatica, located in Dublin. The role is primarily focused on multi-layered systems in a distributed environment.

Candidates at this level actively contribute to the open problem-solving environment. The candidate will be responsible at a feature level for delivering, in a timely manner, well tested, scalable and robust components.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, design, and develop features based on business requirements individually or with a small team.
  • Lead feature development and follow-through with other team members working on the project to ensure high quality and predictable delivery.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure minimal regressions and comprehensive customer-centric testing
  • Resolving security vulnerabilities and CVEs identified by our security team.
  • Passionately share your knowledge: you enjoy mentoring team members, can communicate effectively, and clearly articulate and support technical decisions to a wide audience
  • Estimate effort, identify risks, and meet project schedules.
  • Regularly suggest enhancements to existing product that contributes to product goals.
  • Collaborating with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues and problems.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4 or more years of enterprise software development experience
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent general programming skills and significant Java programming experience.
  • You have strong experience in thin client technologies like JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and React JS.
  • Experience implementing and interacting with RESTful services.
  • Experience with TestNG or other Java unit testing tools.
  • Familiarity with common Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc.
  • Experience using build automation tools (Maven, Jenkins, etc.)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Experience in working with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Contribution to open-source projects.
