Position Title: Senior Consultant

External Description:

Informatica is currently looking for a Senior Consultant within Informatica Professional Services (IPS) with experience in delivering Data Management solutions to drive customer success and adoption, to join our team in Australia.

We’re the frontline evangelists, the direct line to our customers. We ensure our customer’s success in deploying our data management platforms. Our consultants work with our customers and business partners both on short-term assignments to lend tactical expertise as well as long-term efforts to ensure we deliver data management projects in accordance with customer expectations.

Job Summary

As a Senior Consultant within the ANZ IPS Practice, you will be responsible for our clients' success in implementing, adopting and succeeding with the Informatica data governance platform; from envisioning the correct implementation strategy to making it a reality. In the role of Senior Consultant, you are the client’s trusted expert and who can adapt to a fast-paced environment. Working as a Senior Consultant you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and engagement skills. You will work closely with the various integrated internal Informatica teams, other Informatica consultants, customer/partner resources, Global Customer Support, Product Management and CSM’s to ensure customer’s success and satisfaction with our products and services contributing to their long-term loyalty.

What You’ll Do

  • As a Data Management Consultant, you will be working on deploying Informatica’s products from one or more of our core initiatives:
    • Data Governance (including products: Cloud Data Governance and Catalog, Enterprise Data Catalog, Axon, Informatica Data Quality)
    • Master Data Management (Informatica Master Data Management including Customer360 and Product 360 Informatica Data Quality)
    • Data & Application Integration (Intelligent Data Management Cloud, Data Engineering)
  • Either individually or as part of a team, design and develop data management solutions for our customers.
  • Support our customers in the adoption of our solutions.
  • Requirements gathering, detailed design and implementation based on established Informatica best practice.
  • Work with the wider Informatica organisation to support our customers and their requirements.
  • Provide knowledge sharing and project experience with our customers and partners.
  • Enablement in the latest Informatica services to support the Informatica journeys.

Key Essentials

  • Excellent communication and customer support skills, energetic self-starter who shows personal initiative;
  • Strong track record of completing Data Management projects, as well as a proven track record of at least two successfully completed large projects, as well as coaching and mentoring others for success;
  • 5+ years hands-on relevant experience in Data Management Solution development & deployment.
  • Hands on experience with industry leading Data Management tools and products like Informatica Axon, EDC, Data Quality, Intelligent Data Management Cloud, Ab-initio, Talend, Qlikview, Talend, Glue, etc.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and drive toward quick decisions Professional on-site customer integration experience, preferably with a large systems integration firm or for an enterprise software services;
  • Experience developing conceptual and physical solution architectures for solutions incorporating heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms;
  • Experience in driving workshops, demos, architecture reviews and effort estimations;
  • Thorough understanding of data modelling, physical schema properties, triggers, and stored procedures;
  • Personable, with good judgment and an approachable communication style;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently juggle internal and external deadlines;
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time when required.
  • Australian Citizenship or PR will be an advantage.

Other preferred skills for this role include

  • Certification in Informatica products;
  • Strong RDBMS SQL and troubleshooting skills;
  • A strong grasp on current trends in data integration, data quality, Cloud ecosystems and business analytics technologies;
  • Strong in traditional databases, modern Data Lakes & Data Warehousing concepts along with SQL writing and troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable in different programming and scripting languages (Java development is preferable);
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with Linux & Windows based Operating Systems along with Data Management tools and technologies.
  • Hands on with Linux Shell/ Windows Batch scripting.
  • Hands on experience with Relational Databases like Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.
  • Good understanding of Data Modelling and other database related concepts.
