Associate Director - Data Operations (Data warehouse, Azure, Data Engineering)

As Associate Director - Data Operations, you are a strategic member of the Office of the CCO, reporting to the Director of Strategy & Operations. The Strategy & Operations team at Informatica leads projects to help accelerate the top organizational priorities. We help improve execution against new opportunities, define strategic direction and improve business operations. Team works directly with senior leaders across the entire purchase to value lifecycle and makes an impact every day.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

Create clean, reliable, and scalable "single-source-of-truth" data sets by partnering with teams to address data issues in upstream systems and document data lineage, business logic, and definitions
Analyze and solve complex business problems, breaking down the work into applicable tasks, and working with partners to plan and communicate delivery commitments
Design Data Lake, Data Warehouses, Data Models, Data Integration solutions using Informatica suite of enterprise cloud data management products.
Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge on Informatica products including architecture, design and implementation.
In-depth understanding of big data technology, concepts, tools, features, functions and benefits of different approaches to apply them.
Develop a understanding of business processes for functions such as Customer Support, Sales, Customer success, Renewals, Finance, and Professional Services to better support our needs.
Collaborate with Our operation leaders, Data Scientists and Application teams to design data models
Work with data engineers to develop several data visualizations, Reports and Dashboards to provide insights required to lead our goals.
Translate the functional requirements to high-level develop technical specifications document.
Participate in project planning, reviews, sprint and release planning, demos
Monitor teams' velocity and try to improve development process
Inspect usage and other metrics to make decisions to influence direction and roadmap

What We'd Like to See

8+ Years of Data Warehouse Experience with Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL, Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
SQL skills
5+ years' experience being product owner, project manager, team manager or equivalent experience
Analyze complex issues, while also able to visualize and communicate your insights with the larger organization

Role Essentials

Experience working in complex technical organization across global offices/locations in an Agile environment.
Experience maintaining data warehouse systems and working on large-scale data transformation using EMR, Hadoop, Hive, or other Big Data technologies
Experience working on Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Data Warehouse/Azure SQL DB.
Experience managing other Data Engineers, ensuring data engineering best practices are being followed
Collaborative team-oriented environment
Minimum 12+ years of relevant professional experience with undergrad degree or professional training
BA/BS or equivalent educational background
Manages people managers or senior level individual contributors
