Senior Cloud Engineer

Informatica is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our global IT Infrastructure Team. In this position, you will work with infrastructure teams as well as key business representatives across the company to understand their needs and to swiftly translate these into value-add solutions. You will be responsible for building automation workflows, setting up governance across the four major public cloud providers, process improvement and ensuring a smooth operation of our important cloud infrastructure. This role is an important part of Informatica's "Cloud First Cloud Native" (CFCN) vision.

You will report to the Associate Director.

You will join a motivated team-based work environment, and need to be equally adept at delivering solutions that meet challenging requirements. You should be able to understand and translate Customer's our requirements and challenges into cloud-ready solutions.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

  • Manage accounts, services, storage, and instances in four global Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
  • IAM administration across cloud providers
  • Use scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc) to automate daily routine tasks, query and schedule custom reports, and refine administration efficiency on our team.
  • Participate in projects to integrate private and public cloud environments.
  • Manage cloud-based IAM and governance for multiple providers and accounts
  • Deploy and manage images (AMI's, Images) from Resources and VM's across subscriptions.
  • Configure highly available solutions including DRS and backups in the cloud
  • Configure and manage Azure SQL servers and storage accounts.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Compute Resources
  • Good understanding the alerts mechanism and Logic apps usage.
  • Migrate on-premises VMs to cloud environments.
  • Configuring the patching groups for Azure VMs.
  • Manage Azure AD and networking configurations.
  • Create and managing the security policies and Transit Gateway

What We'd Like to See

  • Four year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or background of experience that merits equivalency.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IaaS/PaaS role on Public Cloud.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using Python, scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
  • Equally proficient in compute (EC2) and storage (S3) administration
  • Hands-on experience configuring and deploying solutions using containers (including Kubernetes)
  • Scripting and CLI management of cloud solutions
  • Experience and expertise in a Linux OS administration is a plus
  • Relevant certification in one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP and cloud-context networking principles and management
