Our Team

You will be a key contributor to Informatica University’s Education Team working cross-functionally to support the design and sale of special education offerings, with special focus on our annual subscriptions and subscription renewals.  The Lead Sales Offerings Specialist is responsible for supporting education offerings, with focus on managing education renewals for Informatica University, including selling, supporting, and reporting on offering progress.  The Offerings Specialist works closely with the Informatica University Sales team, Curriculum team, Operations team, and Informatica’s subscription users to ensure both Informatica & customer success. This role is looking for a motivated, organized and highly talented resource who will work across many channels to build the best subscriptions while maximizing renewal revenue opportunities for Informatica University and ensuring the success of our customers. 

Your Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a proven renewal representative within a highly successful Education Services team. You will be a driving force working in a fast-paced environment to ensure both Informatica and customer success.  This position will collaborate with Informatica’s Sales, License Renewals, Support, Legal, and Operations teams to support accounts up for education renewals. This position will also collaborate with Curriculum and Operations to ensure the offerings have the appropriate mix of learning opportunities and that customers are readily consuming the learning.  This Education Offerings Specialist position requires someone who is organized, motivated and driven to overachieve. Our goal is to ensure Informatica’s financial success while delivering the best education offerings to increase overall project and customer adoption.

Reporting to Vice President of Informatica University, you will be a key part of the Informatica University team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed defined monthly, quarterly, and annual education renewal quota
  • Assist with qualifying the decision maker, buying process, budget, and timeframe
  • Obtain a clear understanding and adherence to Informatica Sales process and policies
  • Secure appropriate order information, per Informatica business process
  • Deliver validated renewal quotes to customers in advance of expiration
  • Obtain a clear understanding of Informatica University products and support value proposition of training
  • Establish reporting for and improve visibility into education renewal opportunities and activity, including internal knowledge transfer and customer consumption reporting
  • Discover and maintain customer requirements for possible updates to education offerings, including, but not limited to subscriptions
  • Understand previous customer education purchases and training history
  • Support customer negotiations for education renewals
  • Support ongoing customer communications geared towards education renewal proposals
  • Ensure accuracy of CRM data and sales activity tracking
  • Assist with internal customer renewal status/history inquiries
  • Perform all duties in an ethical & professional manner
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams for overall success
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships

Your Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication/negotiations/closing skills
  • 2 or more years’ experience in managing sales cycles, preferable in software or higher education industries
  • History of over-achievement of sales quotas and recognized success
  • Works well in a team environment, while also focusing on individual contributions. Focus on cross functional relationship building and management by influence.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, data manipulation and other technical skills
  • Ability to work aggressively, be competitive and persuasive, while demonstrating confidence and resilience, and maintaining integrity and credibility
  • Skilled in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Office applications
  • Experience with CRM required,  reporting (PowerBI) and LMS applications preferred.
