Principal Solutions Consultant (Presales)

  • We're looking for a Principal Solutions Consultant in Chicago or Texas. You can work from a home-office.
  • You will report to a Presales Manager for Enterprise Sales.
  • You will build relationships wide and deep within accounts by establishing trusted advisor status to our customers.
  • You will lead architecture reviews and position technical solutions mapped to customer business issues and technical need, while also having the ability to talk to lines of business or enterprise decision makers within the targeted accounts will be important. In this role both long term strategic planning and hands-on technical skills are equally important.
  • Provide technical sales support for developing complex products/applications/solutions.
  • Build Proof of Value and Proof of Concept based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and understanding of clients requirements.
  • Travel may exceed 50%.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

  • Engage with customers and prospects to demonstrate our solutions and products, communicate the main core value proposition and important differentiators, and to confirm Informatica technical viability for the opportunity
  • Collaborate with Account Manager to complete technical aspects of RFIs and RFPs, identifies competitive landscape, expected behavior, and known preferences.
  • As the owner of the technical sales process, manages the delivery and orchestration of technical activities driving toward technical validation, technical selection and technical closure with the customer (technical presentations, POCs, demos…)
  • Collaborate with Implementation Team and Customer Success Managers to ensure handoff from Sales to Implementation Provider (Partner/IPS) or Success Managers.

  • Holds expert-level experience and uses professional concepts and our goals to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
  • Deep industry knowledge of a customer's decision-making process, goals, and strategies.
  • Complete, "big-picture" understanding of the business and technical contexts of important accounts.
  • Consultative effectiveness and establishing trust with internal and external customers.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, Big Data, or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.

Role Essentials

  • Technical knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Data Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management and Cloud Data Integration concepts and products.
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience
