Senior Program Manager - Redwood City, CA

We are looking for a senior program manager with experience of driving large enterprise scale software development programs. You will manage cross-functional product initiatives to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives. You will report to the Director, Program Management.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

  • Drive large enterprise scale software development programs from initiation to closure.
  • Support General Managers in Planning and Business reviews.
  • Support the Leadership on Portfolio management.
  • Support Architecture programs and reviews with the Informatica Architectural Review Board.
  • Lead cross-functional product initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and remove blockers & impediments, setting a positive example for others to follow.
  • Manage project planning and execution, ensuring projects/releases are well-defined and of high quality.
  • Collaborate with R&D managers to assist in release planning and prioritization of features and enhancements.
  • Provide strategic direction to the team, promoting the adoption of Agile practices, and methodologies.
  • Elevate our program management methodologies by leveraging your expertise in Agile development practices and industry best practices.
  • Ensure consistent use and implementation of Informatica's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology across all projects.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to assess the technical complexity of proposed features, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Define, manage, report, and maintain dashboards to track project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics.

 

What We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in handling large enterprise scale software development programs.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Work between Engineering/R&D, Cloud Operations, Compliance & Security, and Product Management teams in a collaborative fashion.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence wiki.
  • Experience in managing projects with cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including knowledge of cloud services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and serverless computing.
  • Understanding of SaaS software development principles, including multi-tenancy, scalability, security, and data privacy.
  • Awareness of security best practices and compliance requirements relevant to SaaS products, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
