Principal Software Engineer - Java, Spring, Hibernate, Microservices, Docker

We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Java candidate with experience in Java, Cloud Applications, Database, and Kubernetes to join our team in Bangalore.

You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You will work with the Cloud Data Integration Group.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

Develop new features & enhancements and management of core platform services.
Experience in GIT, SVN, and database concepts like SQL/NOSQL.
Collaborate, and develop programming environment with peer engineers, and architects spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end components and features.
Handling customer escalations that are routed to R&D from Global customer support (would require you to re-prioritize your tasks).
Gather and interpret broad requirement specifications from customers/Product Management that are not yet defined.
Produce techno-functional specs and designs based on high-level requirements.
Estimate efforts, identify risks, and meet project schedules.
Be an amazing performer and team player who enjoys challenging assignments in a fast-growing distributed workplace.
Work in an Agile software development team delivering product and feature increments in short iterations.

What We'd Like to See

Experience cloud-native development and deployment processes.
Experience with Kubernetes stack.
6+ years of experience developing enterprise software products using Java technologies.
Excellent coding and design skills in Java server-side technologies, object-oriented concepts, and Java open-source frameworks are mandatory.
Experience with Eclipse, Maven, Linux, and Tomcat is mandatory.
Experience with database concepts, and SQL programming is mandatory.

Role Essentials

Experience in Hadoop technologies like Hbase, Titan, and Solr.
Familiarity with the Agile development process.
Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience
