Competitive Intelligence Analyst
We are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Analyst candidate with experience in competitive intelligence, data management, or product marketing, and the ability to synthesize insights and actionable intelligence from data and research studies to join our team in Dublin (Ireland). We are particularly interested in candidates who have 1-2 years of background in or knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Competitive Intelligence.
In this role, you will perform market and competitor research, analyze Informatica's markets, competition, and product mix, and develop competitive insights to inform and enable field-facing and internal teams. Additionally, you will monitor KPIs to ensure program success and enable field-facing teams on competitive strategies and competitor updates.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do
- Conduct research studies and make presentations on new market conditions and strategies.
- Analyze the competitive environment, including sales data, win/loss interviews, and public and third-party competitor information to develop recommendations and sales strategies based on findings.
- Develop competitive intelligence sales tools that support business development and help drive revenue.
- Develop and maintain actionable tools (sales messaging, heat maps and responses, battle cards, internal and external presentations, etc.), with a view toward improving sales effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on core competitive metrics, including win and incident rates, trends, win/loss analyses, and more via static reports and/or dynamic dashboards.
- Provide trend updates and relevant information for supported product lines and markets.
What We'd Like to See
- An organized, empathetic, and curious team player who can stand firm or compromise as needed with a marketing (preferably product marketing) or B2B enterprise software (preferably data management and/or iPaaS) background.
- A background in or knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), ideally with 1-2 years of experience.
- Experience in evaluating competitor strategies, strengths, and weaknesses to identify market opportunities and threats.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive competitor and market research, analyzing industry trends, and evaluating competitors to provide strategic insights.
- Familiarity with competitive intelligence tools and best practices.
- Strong skills in data analysis, including the ability to interpret complex data sets, extract meaningful conclusions, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment with overall team goals.
- A commitment to staying updated on industry trends, research methodologies, and evolving technologies to enhance the quality of competitor analysis.

- Exceptional ability to craft clear and impactful written and verbal business insights, ensuring proper grammar and communication effectiveness
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
