Associate Technical Writer

We're looking for an Associate Technical writer candidate with experience in Technical/ Product Documentation to join our team in Bangalore-Hybrid

You will report to the Senior Manager, Documentation

You will work with software engineers, UX designers, product managers, and other doc team members to create great user-facing content.

Technology You'll Use

DITA, XML, Style Sheets, XSLT transformations, Trisoft, Oxygen, SQL

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

Write technical content that describes product functionality
Compile and test online help
Create project plans, maintain schedules for specific projects, and communicate documentation status to documentation manager or lead
Develop tutorials to improve first user experience
Work with partners to deliver meaningful error messages, useful UI strings, and develop clear terminology
Contribute how-to articles, knowledge base articles, videos, walkthroughs, and other useful content
Contribute to documentation team processes
Collaborate on projects with other technical writers

What We'd Like to See

Experience with any content management systems (Tridion).
Experience working on databases, SQL, Eclipse, XML, application servers, ERP, CRM, and data warehousing
2+ years of relevant writing and editing experience.
Experience with Agile development cycles.
Knowledge of DITA specializations, style sheets, XSLT transformations.
Experience working with a translation team to produce PDFs and online help in multiple languages.
Understand the customer requirements and ensure that they are implemented into the documentation.
Project management skills.
BE/B.Tech/BA/MA/BS (Engineering, humanities, social sciences).
