Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you will engage with internal collaborators, customers and partners to develop technical account plan/strategy and drive value driven sales engagements to technical closure. As a key member of the Technical Sales team, you will ensure success by capturing customer use cases and designing complex technical solutions on top of Informatica Data Management Cloud. You will educate customers and internal stakeholders on the Informatica value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment and consumption in the cloud. Within our technical sales community you will be an active, constant learner with a growth mindset. You will mentor others on the team and contribute to the development of shared technical selling assets, knowledge stores, and enablement materials. To ensure sustained revenue growth you will contribute to pipeline generation by delivering technical workshops, being active in social media promotions and the technical community, developing content for external circulation, and participating in industry marketing events.

Location: This role will be Canberra-based with a focus on ANZ Public Sector. 

Knowledge & Skills

  •  Hands on knowledge and experience in the Master Data Management and Data Governance domains, with a Data Management background
  • Basic certification on at least 1 Cloud Ecosystem and 1 data related cloud technology at the level defined by the business.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Cloud computing security aspects
  • Advanced level skills for Informatica services and product capabilities or other related technology
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills specific to use cases
  • Ability to engage and create relationships with influencers, coaches, decision makers, and partners, up to and including C-level executives
  • Intermediate technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, database, and/or business intelligence software concepts and products.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Manage customer engagements independently
  • Responsible for sharing best practices, content, and tips and tricks
  • Stay current on certification of Informatica services
  • Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a customer demo with no assistance including discovery, technical qualification / fit, customer presentations, demos, and any related customer facing communication
  • Lead RFP responses and POC's related to area of focus (Data Governance)
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to nurture activities including technical advisory, workshops, adoption activity, etc.
  • Act as a conduit to Product Management for customer feedback
  • Ability to support demos at marketing events independently
  • Conduct technical workshops with customers with minimal assistance
  • Customize and present customer demos with minimal assistance

Education/Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in data management, MDM, or Data Governance
  • 5 years of prior presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred
