Major Account Manager - DACH

As a Major Account Manager, you will directly sell enterprise software solutions across the full breadth of our product portfolio, driving incremental license and subscription revenue. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, Central EMEA (Strategic Accounts), you will develop and own relationships within your assigned accounts and territory, maximizing Informatica's footprint.

You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including pre-sales, professional services, marketing, channel management, finance, and customer support, as well as external partners such as Alliances and Channel Partners.

This is a field sales role requiring extensive travel to customer locations, which may exceed 50% depending on business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expand sales within existing and new accounts by building strong relationships with key decision makers.
  • Develop and execute strategic, comprehensive business plans for each account, identifying core customer requirements and aligning Informatica's solutions to meet those needs.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of customer contacts and activities within CRM and marketing software (e.g., names, titles, contact info, opportunity value, product details, sales stages, probability, business pain points, and firm commitments).
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, consistent quarterly revenue delivery, and successful implementation of agreed account and business plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create effective account plans, including events, seminars, and roadmap sessions.
  • Promote Informatica's products to maximize brand recognition and mindshare at all organizational levels, and publicize success stories.
  • Provide customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support product, system, and process improvements.
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of Informatica's products and services.
  • Manage larger, complex accounts with higher quotas relative to less complex portfolio sales roles.
  • Regularly engage and sell to executive-level customer decision makers, including CXO levels.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Expert-level experience applying professional concepts and company objectives to creatively and effectively resolve complex issues.
  • Deep industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of customer decision-making processes, goals, strategies, and business objectives.
  • Exceptional presentation, financial/business acumen, and negotiation skills across all levels of customer engagement.
  • Comprehensive, big-picture understanding of the business and technical contexts of key accounts.
  • Highly driven with strong leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others within the account ecosystem.
  • Mastery of consultative selling techniques and the ability to establish trust and credibility with both internal teams and external customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience
