Description 

Informatica is looking for a Software Engineer with experience in building cloud-native business applications to join our team in Stuttgart. 

 

Job Summary  

As a Software Engineer within the product development your challenge will be to build highly scalable cloud-native business applications on a brand-new cloud platform. As part of a team, you will take over responsibility for your business application right up from the beginning, bring in your design decisions and work on complex development tasks. 

 

You will work as a team member of an agile Scrum team actively participating in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives. 

 

We use test-driven development (TDD), and as a Software Engineer you are responsible for writing unit- and integrations. In the role of a Software Engineer, you have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.

What You’ll Do  

• Develop new features for a business application running on a cloud-native SaaS platform 
• Collaborate with several cross-functional teams, architects, product managers, and engineers 
• Participate in design and code reviews as part of our development process 

 

Key Essentials  

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience 
• Excellent knowledge in Java programming 
• You understand software development as an engineering field 
• You are familiar with current standards and frameworks, especially the Spring Framework 
• You have deep experience with design patterns and software modeling 

• You have deep experience with Restful web services - sync and async 
• As a team-player, you contribute reliable and systematic work. 
• You also enjoy brainstorming on design and love problem solving with a strong focus on teamwork 
• You have the ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas in a group speaking fluent English basic German 

 

What Does Success Look Like? 

• As a part of a SCRUM team, you help to ensure that new features are rolled out to our customers within a short release cycle at the highest quality
