Principal Workday Technical Analyst

We're looking for an Principal Workday Technical Analyst with experience in Integration & Reporting Calculations to join our team in Bangalore

You will report to Associate Director Information Technology

You will leverage and subject matter expertise, gain and understand Informatic a's priorities, strategy, and direction.

Here's What You'll Do

The Workday technical analyst will create integrations, reports and dashboards within the Workday system. You will support various departments by providing accurate,, and insightful data that informs decision-making and strategic planning. You will have a strong background in, and the ability to translate our needs into effective Workday reports.

Report Creation and Management:

• Maintain custom reports, dashboards, and data extracts in Workday.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of all reports and data outputs.
• Collaborate with partners to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements.
• Identify areas where HRIS systems can be leveraged, extended, processes can be changed/automated or existing solutions can be enhanced

Integration Creation and Management

• Be a subject matter expert on large collections of Workday integrations
• Lead the design, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations
• Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life cycle
• Work with partners to determine problem areas and overall impact of projects
• Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. Develop plans to more forward the overall Workday strategy for Meta
• Partner with business leaders and People Engineering teams to align on goals and programs
• Help manage the deliverables within large, multi-month projects
• Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners
• Drive an overall data strategy for people-related data and Workday's place in it

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

• Analyse data to provide applicable recommendations to support business objectives.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to help drive strategic decisions.
• Present data findings to stakeholders.

System Optimization:

• Continuously review and improve reporting processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with Workday releases and enhancements to leverage new reporting capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of integration and reporting activities with organisational goals.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, providing technical expertise and insights.
• With team members and leadership, providing updates on reporting activities and outcomes.

Role Essentials

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience working in Workday
• At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience
• 8+ years of experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, BIRT reporting, EIB, and Core Connectors
• Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)
• Strong technical experience with XML and Java
• 8+ years of experience in Workday reporting tools, including Report Writer, Worksheets, Calculated Fields, and dashboards.
• 8+ years' experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields
• 8+ years' experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors
• Strong understanding of Workday security configuration, policies, and best practices.
• Experience with security auditing, monitoring, and incident response.
