Legal Operations Specialist – Austin, Texas Hybrid

We have an exciting opportunity in our in-house legal department. If you're a Paralegal or looking to get into legal operations and you like variety, we're looking for a Legal Operations Specialist! Legal Operations is a diverse function on the modernization of business operations for global in-house legal departments. This position is hybrid in our Austin, Texas office and will report to our Senior Legal Operations Specialist.

The Legal Operations team is involved in nearly everything the global legal department does, except for the practice of law. Our team enables each of the legal practice areas by ensuring agreement, delivering business intelligence, financial management, and systems.

This candidate will perform traditional business analyst functions across the practice of law and will have the opportunity to participate in transformative projects. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Analyze financial data and other data to create relevant metrics, dashboards, and reports
• Program management support of generative AI internal tool development and other technology implementation
• Help with recordkeeping around metrics, measures and other disclosures related to departmental activities, including carbon emissions
• Learn and manage E-Billing
• Identify department pain-points and efficiency opportunities
• Ad-hoc projects and general organizational support for Legal Operations and other practice groups such as IP, Commercial Contracts, LMS, and HR, and Litigation

What We'd Like to See

• Work with all levels of management and outside counsel
• Able to understand and interpret end-to-end business processes
• Technology adept to enable and automate business processes
• Expert in using the, Excel and PowerPoint to present complicated information

Role Essentials

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• BA or BS degree
• Corporate legal department/finance department or law firm experience
