Principal Services, Solutions Architect
The Principal Services, Solutions Architect will work with sales staff, delivery staff, and marketing to successfully scope and position customer solutions in both pre-sale and post sale cycles. Primarily responsible for the data strategy development, identification, design, and development of technology solutions for Professional Services customer engagements to provide business value. Defines client needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project. Viewed by customers as a trusted business and technical adviser. Performance is typically evaluated based on the capture of the services engagement and/or individual utilization, (i.e., billable hours). Travel to customer sites may reach or exceed 50%, as applicable to the customer engagement.
Your Opportunity
You'll provide industry leading data management consulting services to our customers who utilize Informatica products and solutions. You'll also support the services sales cycle as requested and mentor other Informatica consultants in the effective use and deployment of On-Prem and Cloud Informatica products.
Here's What You'll Do
- Hold primary responsibility for the technical viability and business alignment of customer solutions.
- Define client business and technical needs, developing comprehensive plans and proposals to deliver projects that achieve measurable business value and outcomes.
- Design technical solutions and delivery processes that include clear business use definitions, success criteria, and business outcomes.
- Partner closely with delivery staff, Portfolio/Delivery Managers, and account management to deeply understand and align with the customer's business requirements and strategic goals.
- Proactively manage and mitigate project risks and potential overruns to safeguard business objectives.
- Mentor and develop Professional Services staff in both technical capabilities and understanding of business impacts.
- Contribute to the knowledge base and best practices with an emphasis on driving business results.
- Communicate and influence effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders, focusing on business priorities and strategic engagement.
- Provide industry and technical expertise to support business growth and innovation, collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, and R&D.
- Share knowledge through educational initiatives, speaking engagements, and various media channels, emphasizing business value creation.
- Leverage strong business acumen to understand Informatica’s business priorities, strategy, and direction, ensuring all technical solutions support these goals.

- Possess expert level experience leveraging professional concepts and company objectives to creatively and effectively resolve complex technical and business challenges.
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills involving in depth evaluation of multifaceted situations and data to inform strategic decision
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve optimal results aligned with both technical and business goals.
- Exhibit strong business acumen, combining technical subject matter expertise with a thorough understanding of Informatica’s business priorities, strategy, and industry direction.
- Establish and maintain robust, cross functional relationships across the organization, facilitating collaboration based on prior successful engagements and proven experience.
- Proven track record in professional services delivery and managing customer relationships within large, strategic enterprise software projects.
- Possess deep knowledge of complementary technologies and industry best practices beyond Informatica’s solutions.
- Expertise in one or more industry verticals (e.g., Manufacturing, Retail, Banking), enabling tailored solution design and delivery.
- Skilled in engaging and communicating effectively with executive level audiences, utilizing appropriate presentation formats and interpersonal techniques.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and sharing knowledge through educational initiatives, speaking engagements, and publications.
Education & Experience
- BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
